What You’ll Learn
This course will help you to:
- Identify the organisations that support international trade
- Understand international documentation and key information requirements for exporting/importing goods
- Apply Incoterms® 2020 correctly in customs contexts
- Classify goods accurately using commodity codes
- Determine and declare origin — preference and non-preference — including trade agreements
- Use procedure codes and understand their impact on customs clearance
- Complete export declarations and provide correct proof of export
- Complete import declarations, calculate duties & taxes, and carry out goods valuation
- Identify and apply duty relief schemes and other customs procedures
- Prepare for and pass audits and compliance checks
- Understand the AEO scheme and assess whether it’s right for your business
You’ll leave with a solid understanding of customs procedures, practical guidance to reduce compliance risks, and insight into the potential benefits of AEO status.
